The 6th Joint Coordination Committee meeting for the 'Building Climate Resilient Safer Islands in the Maldives' project, supported by Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) took place on Thursday.

During the meeting, participants shared and discussed information about the project's current status and ongoing work. Important consultations were also held with key project stakeholders.

The project aims to strengthen the resilience of Maldivian islands against climate change-related challenges and enhance their safety measures. Various activities under this initiative are currently being implemented across different islands throughout the Maldives.

Senior officials from relevant Government agencies and JICA representatives attended the meeting.
