A man has been apprehended in connection with the use and distribution of drugs, following a coordinated operation by counter-narcotics intelligence and drug enforcement officials.

The arrested individual, identified as Hassan Nazeeh, aged 32, from Galolhu Jootheege, was taken into custody on January 30. The arrest was part of a crackdown based on intelligence provided by counter-narcotics sources. Authorities believe the operation uncovered significant evidence linking the suspect to illegal drug activities.

As part of the operation, two properties, suspected to be associated with Nazeeh, were raided. During the search, officers recovered a substantial amount of drugs and cash. Preliminary assessments suggest the seized drugs weighed over 1 kilogram, although the exact nature of the substances is still being confirmed by experts.

Following his arrest, Nazeeh was brought before the Criminal Court, where he was remanded in judicial custody for a period of 10 days while further investigations continue.

Authorities have assured that the investigation is ongoing.
