The Ministry of Finance and Planning has announced a tender for the development of a new harbour in Nadellaa, Gaafu Dhaalu Atoll.

According to an announcement published in the Government Gazette, the tender has been opened at the request of the Ministry of Construction, Housing and Infrastructure to find a contractor for the harbour development project.

The bidding process will be conducted under the National Tender regulations for construction projects, including the Foreign Direct Investment Policy and International Competitive Bidding (ICB) procedures within the Public Finance Regulations, as stated by the Finance Ministry.

The Ministry noted that qualification criteria and evaluation standards for bidders are detailed in the project's bid documents. Interested parties must pay a non-refundable registration fee of MVR 1,500, which can be paid through Bandeyri Pay between 8:00 am and 2:00 pm on working days, starting from February 10, 2025.

Additional project information can be requested via email to the Finance Ministry before 1:00 pm on February 18. Bidders must register on the bid portal at least three days before the submission deadline, and only bids submitted through the portal will be accepted.
