Vice President Uz Hussain Mohamed Latheef attended the Government Experience Exchange Forum in Dubai, held alongside the World Governments Summit 2025.

The event provided a platform for professionals to exchange insights and explore solutions for addressing governance challenges. Discussions centred on leadership development, creative problem-solving, and adapting to evolving industry demands.

The forum brought together global leaders, including King Mswati III of Eswatini, Bosnian Chairwoman of the Presidency Zeljika Cvijanovic, and UAE Deputy Minister of Cabinet Affairs Abdulla Nasser Lootah.

For the past three years, Maldives has taken part in the UAE’s Government Experience Exchange Programme (GEEP) under a bilateral Memorandum of Understanding. The initiative focuses on enhancing public sector capacity, with 128 government employees, including senior officials and civil servants, completing four specialised training programmes aimed at fostering innovation and professional development.

Vice President Latheef is on an official visit in Dubai for the World Governments Summit 2025 and is scheduled to deliver a statement at the Climate Change Forum. He is accompanied by a high-level Government delegation.
