283 youths apply for the third young Khateeb training programme

The Ministry of Islamic Affairs has announced that 283 youths have applied to participate in the third young Khateeb training programme round.
Application to participate in the third round will close today.
This programme is open to students in grades 10, 11, or 12, as well as individuals under 18, who have completed their studies. The Ministry has allowed Maldivian students living abroad to participate in this round.
Participants will be certified as a Khateeb upon completion of the interview, training sessions, and writing examination.
Students residing in Male’ will participate in face-to-face training sessions, while students in local islands and abroad will participate in these sessions online.
This programme was launched under the advice of President Dr Mohamed Muizzu and is guided by the Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dr Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed.
All rounds of this programme have received strong responses from the youth. During the first round, 250 Khateeb’s were trained and certified. The Government aims to train 1000 young Khateebs during the current term.
