President Dr Mohamed Muizzu met with Nepali Prime Minister, The Rt Honourable KP Sharma Oli, on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Summit at the Tianjin Meijiang Convention Centre on 1 September.

The two leaders reaffirmed the enduring friendship and close bilateral relations between the Maldives and Nepal. They expressed their commitment to further strengthening cooperation in key areas, including education, economic diversification, and collaboration within multilateral forums.

Their discussions reflected a shared vision of advancing regional cooperation and promoting sustainable development through deeper bilateral engagement.

President Dr Muizzu conveyed his gratitude for Nepal’s continued support. Both leaders agreed to work closely together to deliver tangible outcomes in areas of mutual interest.
