First Lady Sajidha Mohamed received a warm welcome upon her arrival in Fuvahmulah City on Monday evening.

A large number of residents gathered along the route from the airport to greet her.

Her visit to Fuvahmulah follows a series of campaign activities in Thinadhoo City, where she took part in door-to-door visits alongside candidates contesting in the elections. During her time in Thinadhoo, she met with People’s National Congress (PNC) candidates and attended the launch of the mayoral manifesto of Mohamed Ajeeb.

In Fuvahmulah, the First Lady is scheduled to meet with PNC candidates contesting for mayoral, council, and WDC positions, including mayoral candidate Ali Maseeh. She is also expected to participate in door-to-door campaign activities, engaging directly with residents to discuss their concerns and priorities.

The visit comes as the PNC intensifies campaign efforts across the country ahead of the Local Council and WDC elections, as well as the public referendum scheduled for April 4.
