Visit Maldives Corporation, in partnership with the Secretariat of Alifu Alifu Bodufulhadhoo Council, will host three internationally recognised football figures in the Maldives on 5 October 2025.

The guests include Radheya Maraca, a world-renowned freestyle footballer; Ben Black, one of the United Kingdom’s most followed football influencers; and Sabreesh, a prominent futsal and street football player from India. Their visit has been coordinated through an initiative led by Visit Maldives’ local ambassador, Naushad, as part of efforts to build stronger community ties and promote sports tourism in the islands.

Over four days, Bodufulhadhoo will host a packed programme featuring futsal matches, freestyle performances, and youth training clinics. Local children will be given the chance to take part in sessions with the visiting athletes, while the wider public will have opportunities to meet them and participate in football-themed events.

The visitors are also expected to hold engagements with Maldivian futsal players, with organisers highlighting the chance to encourage cultural exchange and celebrate the Maldives’ growing interest in the sport.

According to Visit Maldives Corporation, the initiative is intended to strengthen the country’s sports tourism offering and provide distinctive community experiences that connect international figures with local audiences.
