Visit Maldives, Liverpool FC launch global contest ‘Penalty to Paradise’

Visit Maldives Corporation (VMC), in collaboration with Liverpool Football Club (LFC), has launched a global fan competition titled Penalty to Paradise from October 2025 to January 2026.
The format centres on an elimination-style penalty shootout for LFC Members, where one missed kick means immediate exit from the contest. The winner will claim a trip to the Maldives, while additional challenges throughout the four months will award themed prizes and exclusive experiences to participants.
The campaign will be promoted across Liverpool FC’s social media and digital platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube and the club’s official website, extending its reach to a global fanbase. Member-only content and behind-the-scenes activities will also feature as part of the initiative.
Visit Maldives Corporation has described the campaign as part of its wider strategy to link international sports audiences with the Maldives. The partnership with Liverpool FC, signed earlier this year for the 2025–2028 seasons, designates the Maldives as the club’s Official Tourist Destination Partner, providing brand visibility through live matches, LED displays at Anfield, and digital outreach to millions of fans worldwide.
