President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has assured that the Government is confident in clearing the nation’s substantial debt next year.

Speaking to residents of Funadhoo during his visit to Shaviyani Atoll, he highlighted the ongoing revitalisation of the Maldivian economy, which ensures that debt obligations can be met efficiently.

He also confirmed that unpaid bills from the previous administration will be settled within the coming week, with the Government clearing outstanding payments owed to thousands of citizens through proper channels, excluding those received in the last 30 days.

President Dr Muizzu emphasised that the country’s economic progress is enabling the Government to fulfil its commitments to the people more rapidly, reflecting steady advancement in national recovery and development.
