The Government has awarded 52 sports development projects to private companies at a ceremony held at Basello Nasandhura. The projects include the construction and renovation of football, volleyball, handball, badminton, and swimming facilities nationwide, such as new courts, stadium upgrades, and lighting and turfing works. The projects were awarded to Maldives Assure Supply Pvt Ltd, Coreline Maldives Pvt Ltd, Mala Trading Pvt Ltd, Three Tree Pvt Ltd, Elite International Pvt Ltd, Trusteng Maldives Pvt Ltd, Meyna Pvt Ltd, Fedo Pvt Ltd, and Aqua Line Pvt Ltd. These projects are aimed at expanding access to modern sports facilities and promoting athletic development across the Maldives.
