Maldives, Oman discuss cooperation on energy and economic projects

A high-level delegation from the Maldives has held discussions with Omani officials on strengthening bilateral cooperation, including the potential advancement of energy projects in the Maldives.
The talks were held during an official visit to Oman by the Minister of Finance and Planning Moosa Zameer, who met with Oman’s Minister of Finance, Sultan bin Salim bin Said al-Habsi. The meeting focused on enhancing economic and trade relations between the two countries, alongside opportunities to deepen collaboration in key sector.
According to the Ministry of Finance and Planning, discussions covered prospects for cooperation in maritime and fisheries development, as well as potential collaboration on energy projects in the Maldives. The two sides also explored broader avenues for economic partnership aimed at supporting mutual development priorities.
