Police instruct removal of vehicles from Tsunami Monument area

Police have instructed the removal of vehicles parked in the area where development works are being carried out at the Tsunami Monument site.
In a post shared on social media, the Police said vehicles parked within the Tsunami Monument area, which falls under the Malé Scaping Project, must be removed to facilitate ongoing development works at the site.
Vehicles parked within the marked areas must be removed from the location by 6:00 pm today, according to a map shared by the Police.
The Government is currently undertaking repair and upgrading works on public spaces frequently used by residents in Malé to improve accessibility. As part of these efforts, Sultan Park and Republic Square have been temporarily closed for renovation works. In addition, renovation works are also underway at Rasfannu.
