President Dr Mohamed Muizzu joined the People’s National Congress (PNC) door-to-door campaign in the South Galolhu constituency ahead of the upcoming Local Council and Women’s Development Committee (WDC) elections.

The visit formed part of PNC’s campaign activities in support of its candidates contesting in the constituency.

During the engagement, President Dr Muizzu visited several households in South Galolhu, where he met families and spoke with residents. He listened to their views, gathered feedback and heard concerns raised by members of the public.

Residents gathered in various parts of the constituency to welcome the President. He greeted those present and held discussions with members of the community.

President Dr Muizzu has maintained regular public engagement initiatives both prior to and after assuming office. During his tenure as Mayor of Malé City, he conducted weekly visits to households to meet residents and assess community issues. Since taking office as President, he has continued outreach activities aimed at engaging with the public and obtaining feedback on local matters.

In October 2025, President Dr Muizzu became the first Maldivian Head of State to visit every inhabited island within a single presidential term, completing the visits in one year and eleven months.
