An MoU has been signed between the Ministry of Tourism and Environment and the Fuvahmulah City Council to jointly operate a green nursery in Fuvahmulah City under the Government’s Five Million Trees Project. The nursery will support the cultivation of plants to enhance greening efforts in the city and contribute to broader environmental sustainability initiatives.

The Ministry stated that the project aims to establish 20 nursery sites across the Maldives, as part of ongoing efforts to expand tree planting and strengthen environmental conservation nationwide.
