Prominent Maldivian businessman ‘Champa’ Mohamed Moosa (‘Uhchu’) has endorsed Major (Rtd) Moosa Ali Jaleel in his bid for Mayor of Malé City.

Moosa Ali Jaleel paid a visit to ‘Uhchu’ on Sunday, during which the businessman expressed his full support for Jaleel’s candidacy. He also assured that he would actively assist in campaigning efforts and help secure votes in the upcoming mayoral election.

Speaking at the meeting, ‘Uhchu’ highlighted that Moosa Ali Jaleel possesses one of the most distinguished records of national service among the candidates contesting the election. He further noted that individuals with such a strong background in public service are essential for the country, particularly those who have demonstrated dedication, commitment and exemplary conduct, especially in service institutions.

‘Uhchu’ also emphasised the importance of entrusting responsible national positions to individuals who have consistently upheld public trust and worked diligently in service to the nation.

Moosa Ali Jaleel expressed his gratitude to ‘Uhchu’ for the endorsement and support extended to his mayoral campaign.
