Hajj travel dates finalised for Maldivian pilgrims

The departure schedule for Maldivian pilgrims travelling for this year’s Hajj pilgrimage has been finalised.

The Maldives Hajj Corporation stated that 50 per cent of pilgrims will travel on Saudia Airlines, while the remaining 50 per cent will travel on the national carrier, Maldivian. A total of four flights have been arranged to transport pilgrims from the Maldives.

The departure schedule is as follows:

  • Flight 1: 15 May (242 pilgrims)
  • Flight 2: 17 May (250 pilgrims)
  • Flight 3: 18 May (243 pilgrims)
  • Flight 4: 19 May (250 pilgrims)

Flights on 15 and 18 May will be operated by Saudia Airlines, while flights on 17 and 19 May will be operated by Maldivian.

Return flights for pilgrims have also been scheduled:

  • Flight 1: 5 June (242 pilgrims)
  • Flight 2: 7 June (250 pilgrims)
  • Flight 3: 8 June (243 pilgrims)
  • Flight 4: 9 June (250 pilgrims)

Return flights on 5 and 8 June will be operated by Saudia Airlines, while those on 7 and 9 June will be operated by Maldivian.

The Maldives Hajj Corporation also noted that efforts are ongoing to enhance services provided to pilgrims this year. This includes improved arrangements for tents in Mina and ensuring that essential services are delivered at a high standard.

A quota of 1,000 pilgrims has been allocated to the Maldives for this year’s Hajj. Service providers accompanying pilgrims will also travel under this quota.
