Deputy Commissioner of Police (Rtd) Mohamed Rishwan has resigned from his position as Managing Director and Board Member of Maldives Ports Limited (MPL).

The Privatization and Corporatization Board (PCB) announced on Wednesday night that Rishwan’s resignation has been accepted, with his dismissal taking effect from April 6, 2026.

Rishwan was appointed as Managing Director of MPL on February 5, 2025, and had been serving in the role since then.

Prior to his appointment, Rishwan served in various senior positions, including as Deputy Commissioner of Police, and also held the position of Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH).
