Candidates from the ruling People’s National Congress (PNC) have secured five seats in the Local Council and Women’s Development Committee (WDC) elections in Baa Maalhos.

In the elections held on Saturday, PNC candidate Mohamed Thoriq Abdhul Razzaq was elected as President of the Maalhos Council.

For the women’s seat on the council, PNC candidate Dheena Ali was elected, while Saafee Hassan secured a council member position.

In the Women’s Development Committee elections, the position of President was also won by a PNC candidate, with Sofoora Ibrahim elected to the post.

Additionally, Naeema Abdul Gafoor, another PNC candidate, was elected as a member of the committee.

The results reflect a strong performance by PNC candidates across both the council and WDC elections in Maalhos.
