Qatar Airways has resumed flights to the Maldives after being temporarily suspended due to regional unrest and airspace closures in the Middle East.

The disruption had earlier forced the airline to halt its services as tensions in the region led to restrictions on certain air corridors. However, operations have now recommenced, restoring a key international link to the island nation.

Maldives Airports Company Limited, the airline has resumed regular services, with daily flights scheduled between Doha and the Maldives – amounting to seven flights per week.

Qatar Airways is among the largest carriers bringing tourists into the Maldives. The resumption of its flights is expected to significantly improve connectivity, particularly for travellers from the Middle East, Europe and the Americas.

With the reinstatement of services, passengers will benefit from smoother transit options through Doha, one of the region’s major aviation hubs, further strengthening access to the Maldives as a global tourist destination.

The airline has also announced flexible arrangements for affected passengers. Travellers who had booked tickets for journeys up to 15 June are permitted to change their travel dates without additional charges, offering greater convenience following the disruption.
