The Managing Director of the State Water and Sewerage Company (MWSC), Abdul Matheen Mohamed, has resigned from his position.

Abdul Matheen announced his resignation in a post shared on X, stating that he had stepped down from the role of Managing Director of the company effective today.

No reason for his resignation was disclosed.

Abdul Matheen was appointed as Managing Director of MWSC on 28 November 2023. In addition to serving as Managing Director, he also held the position of Executive Director on the company’s board. Prior to his appointment, he served as State Minister at the Ministry of Environment.
