Bank of Maldives has announced a two-year partnership with WeRUN Maldives to support its flagship corporate relay race, aimed at promoting wellness, teamwork, and inclusivity within the corporate sector.

Under the agreement, the Bank will assist in the organisation and development of the event over the next two years, with the first edition scheduled to take place this year.

The relay race will feature teams of five participants, each running one kilometre, and is designed specifically for companies, institutions, and organisations operating in the Maldives. The event seeks to combine athletic competition with corporate identity, providing a platform for businesses to strengthen team spirit while encouraging healthy lifestyles.

Bank of Maldives stated that the partnership reflects its ongoing commitment to supporting sports development across the country through national initiatives, strategic collaborations, and programmes focused on youth engagement, workplace wellness, and inclusive access to sporting opportunities.
