Saudi Arabia’s low-cost airline Flynas is set to begin operations to the Maldives.
Speaking at a press briefing held at the President’s Office, Minister of Tourism and Civil Aviation, Mohamed Ameen, said the Government is working on multiple measures to mitigate the economic impact of ongoing global instability.
He noted that these efforts have contributed to a reduction in flight cancellations, while work is also underway to attract additional airlines to the Maldives.
As part of these efforts, Flynas is scheduled to commence flights to the Maldives on 3 May. The Minister said the new service is expected to bring economic benefits by enhancing connectivity and supporting tourism.
The airline has already included Maldives operations in its flight schedule.
Flynas currently operates a fleet of more than 67 aircraft, the majority of which are Airbus A320neo planes.
