Uz Moosa Fathuhee Adam has been appointed Secretary General of the People’s National Congress, the party announced on X.

The position became vacant following the resignation of Muaz Haleem on Saturday.

Prior to his appointment, Uz Moosa Fathuhee served as a State Minister at the Ministry of Cities, Local Government and Public Works before its recent dissolution. He also resigned from his position as a board member of the Privatization and Corporatization Board on April 20, having been appointed to the board in 2024.

He had also previously contested the Komandoo constituency in the 2022 by-election as a candidate of the Progressive Party of Maldives.

The PNC leadership currently comprises ten members, including seven vice presidents, while President Dr Muizzu serves as party leader and Abdul Raheem Abdulla serves as chairperson.
