The People’s National Congress (PNC)’s primary for the North Hithadhoo constituency by-election will be held on April 25.

The party said that voting will take place from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with members able to cast ballots in both the North Hithadhoo constituency and Malé City. Eligible voters registered in Hithadhoo will vote at ballot boxes in the constituency, while those registered in Malé and other islands will vote at designated centres in the capital.

The party said all primary activities will be conducted under the supervision of its election committee, which will oversee arrangements and publish the necessary guidelines.

Former MP Mohamed Sinan and Hithadhoo councillor Ahmed Saeed have applied to contest for the party’s ticket.

The by-election is scheduled for June 6 following a ruling by the Supreme Court of the Maldives declaring the seat vacant.
