A body has been discovered in a house in Malé, marking two deaths within hours in the Maldivian capital.

Maldives Police Service received a report of an unresponsive person at G. Beauty Villa at approximately 1:27 a.m. on December 22. Upon arrival at Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH), medical staff confirmed that the individual, identified as Dawood Jimreez, 45, had already passed away.

This discovery follows a similar incident from December 21, when police responded to reports at 5:02 p.m. of another deceased person in the Galolhu area. The individual was identified as Ali Rasheed, 35, of G. Fares Light, who was also pronounced dead upon arrival at IGMH.

Both cases are under police investigation.
