The Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation has announced a new system for domain registration and permissions, aimed at enhancing domain security.
Effective 17 November 2024, domain owners must revalidate their existing permissions by submitting them to the Ministry within 60 days. Upon submission, these documents will be converted into updated domain registration certificates, along with a confirmation letter.
Submissions may be made either via email to the designated address or in person at a counter on the ground floor of the Ministry, open from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on working days.
After the 60-day period, only domains with updated certificates and permissions that comply with Section 1 of the Regulations on the use of domain on road vehicles will be valid. For more information, contact the ministry at 3343415.
These updates reflect the Government’s commitment to stronger cybersecurity for domain services across sectors.
