Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr Abdulla Khaleel, has extended greetings to the State of Palestine on the occasion of its Declaration of Independence.

In a message addressed to Palestinian Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Mustafa, Minister Dr Khaleel conveyed his best wishes on behalf of the Maldivian Government and its people.

He used the opportunity to reaffirm the Maldives’ unwavering support for the Palestinian people in their pursuit of independence and self-determination. “The Maldives remains firmly committed to the Palestinian cause and strengthening the bonds of solidarity and brotherhood between our two nations,” he said.

The Minister also highlighted the Maldives’ dedication to working closely with Palestine in advancing its just cause on the international stage.

The anniversary of Palestine’s Declaration of Independence highlights the ongoing struggle for statehood. The Maldives has consistently supported Palestine’s pursuit of justice, with the Minister's message reaffirming the strong ties between the two nations.
