Dharumavantha Hospital CEO Ibrahim Abdul Razzaq Haleem praised President Dr Mohamed Muizzu’s optimistic vision for the Maldives’ health sector during the inauguration of Dharumavantha Hospital as a tertiary-level facility.

The CEO emphasised the president’s dedication to building a better health system and noted his special priority toward advancing healthcare infrastructure. He added that the establishment of the National Fertility Centre on the hospital’s 22nd floor was a key part of this vision to provide advanced treatment options for infertility challenges.

He detailed the extensive renovations undertaken at Dharumavantha Hospital. “Six delivery suites and a 10 bed NICU has been set up on the 17th floor. Fourteen rooms will be set up on the 18th and 19th floors to admit patients. The 21st floor will be reserved for administrative purposes,” he explained.

Reflecting on the hospital's transformation, the CEO acknowledged the challenges inherited from the past while emphasising the progress made under President Dr Muizzu’s leadership.

The upgraded facilities position Dharumavantha Hospital as a cornerstone of the nation’s health infrastructure, bringing new capabilities and services to meet the growing healthcare needs of the population.
