Ellaidhoo Maldives by Cinnamon has taken a significant step in its sustainability efforts by opening a dedicated Marine Biology Unit.
The Marine Biology Unit aims to educate guests, staff and the public on critical issues such as coral bleaching, ocean acidification, and the loss of biodiversity.
The unit led by the Resort’s first female marine biologist, offers guests an immersive, hands-on learning experience with daily educational content. Visitors can engage with interactive displays, fish identification checklists, and informative talks, enriching their understanding of the marine life surrounding them.
The General Manager of Cinnamon Hotels, Sanjeeva Perera hopes that the Marine Biology Unit will foster a greater environmental stewardship in the community.
Ellaidhoo Maldives by Cinnamon, widely praised for being one of the best destinations for diving, now provides guests with an opportunity to connect with nature while doing their part in its preservation.
