President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has established a Special Presidential Commission of Inquiry to independently investigate the incident involving a young woman found collapsed on a rooftop in Henveiru, Malé City, on April 18, 2025. The Commission, led by Dr Mohamed Munavvar, has the authority to summon individuals, request evidence, and seek foreign expertise to support the investigation. As part of the inquiry, police have arrested Raudh Ahmed Zilal, imposed travel bans on eight individuals, and searched two properties linked to the case.
