Addu City Council has announced the distribution of 251 residential freehold plots in Maradhoo and Maradhoo-Feydhoo, marking a historic first in its land allocation efforts. This initiative follows the 2023 Addu Land Management Project, which added significant reclaimed land to the city, with applications open from 11 May to 24 June 2025. Most plots are reserved for residents of the respective wards, with a portion set aside for applicants from other areas of Addu City.
