The High Commissioner of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka to the Maldives, Pelpolage Ranga Sujeewa Goonawardena, paid a farewell visit to the Maldives’ Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Abdulla Khaleel, earlier today.

The meeting, held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, saw Minister Khaleel express his gratitude to High Commissioner Goonawardena for his dedicated service in strengthening the bilateral relationship between the Maldives and Sri Lanka. Particular emphasis was placed on the High Commissioner’s contributions to socio-economic development and fostering business cooperation during his tenure.

High Commissioner Goonawardena, in turn, extended his thanks to the Government and people of the Maldives for their warm hospitality and support throughout his stay.

The meeting was attended by senior officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, including Secretary Bilateral, Dr Hala Hameed, Additional Secretary Aminath Abdulla Didi, and Assistant Director Mr Ibrahim Naushad.
