The Maldives and Japan have signed a new agreement to continue providing master's degree scholarships for Maldivian students under Japanese aid. For 2024, six scholarships have been announced in key fields, with over MVR 20 million allocated. The programme aims to build national capacity and will run for the next four years, reflecting strong bilateral ties.
