A new medium voltage distribution system has been commissioned in Himmafushi, Kaafu Atoll, addressing voltage drop issues and expanding the power network to newly populated areas.

The system includes three distribution substations, boosting capacity to 1.5 MVA.

Officials confirmed that the upgrade will significantly cut electricity delivery costs while improving reliability for residents.
