The Maldives Basketball Association (MBA) has announced the opening of applications for the election of members to its Governing Committee for the 2024-2028 session.

The positions available include President, Vice President, Vice President of Finance, Secretary General, and five additional committee members.

To ensure transparency and fairness, the proxy forms for registration of representatives from full member clubs and organisations, eligible to vote, along with the application forms for the various committee posts, have been published in the Gazette. The rules governing the election process are also included.

Interested candidates for the committee posts must submit their application forms by 3:30 PM on December 3, 2024. Proxy forms for representatives of full member clubs must be submitted by 1:30 PM on December 11, 2024.

All forms should be submitted to the association’s administrative office.

A special general body meeting will be held on December 14, 2024, at 8:30 PM at the MNIS Seminar Room, where members will elect the new Governing Committee. There are currently 20 associations eligible to vote in the election.
