The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Maldives, Dr Abdulla Khaleel, has extended warm greetings to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Mauritanians Abroad of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania, Mohamed Salem Ould Merzoug, on the occasion of Mauritania's Independence Day.

The Minister conveyed his heartfelt greetings and felicitations to the Government and people of Mauritania and expressed confidence that the bilateral relations between the Maldives and Mauritania would continue to strengthen and develop, serving the mutual interests of both nations.

The Minister concluded his message by extending his best wishes for the continued peace, progress and prosperity of the Mauritanian people.
