First Lady Sajidha Mohamed has unveiled the Maldives Women in Policing Challenge Coin at the opening of the Maldives Women in Policing Summit 2025. The commemorative coin was introduced as a tribute to the contributions of female police officers and their growing role in law enforcement. The three-day summit, the first of its kind in the Maldives, was inaugurated at Crossroads with the participation of Minister of Internal Security and Technology Ali Ihusaan, Commissioner of Police Ismail Naveen, and representatives from five partner countries and international organisations including UNODC, Interpol, UNICEF and UNDP.
