Groundbreaking ceremonies were held in Alifu Dhaalu Fenfushi for three major projects: a new police station, a health centre extension, and a waste management centre. The initiatives are part of the Government’s development efforts to expand essential services on the island.

The groundbreaking of the new police station project, to be built by the Road Development Corporation (RDC), was launched by Minister of Homeland Security and Technology Ali Ihusaan under the plan to establish police posts on all inhabited islands within two years. Minister of Finance and Planning Moosa Zameer officiated the health centre expansion groundbreaking to strengthen healthcare delivery, while Minister of Tourism and Environment Thoriq Ibrahim officiated the start of the waste management centre.
