A new fire station has been inaugurated, and practical works have begun on a new hospital and Bank of Maldives (BML) branch in Alifu Dhaalu Maamigili as part of President Dr Mohamed Muizzu’s visit to the island.

President Dr Mohamed Muizzu officially inaugurated the Maamigili Fire Station, bringing the total number of fire stations established across the country to 15.

The groundbreaking ceremony for the new hospital and BML branch was officiated by Minister of Finance and Planning Moosa Zameer. The initiatives aim to expand access to essential services, ensuring residents no longer need to travel long distances for healthcare or banking facilities.
