Visit Maldives Corporation participated in ITB Asia 2025, a leading travel trade fair held at Marina Bay Sands in Singapore from 15 to 17 October. The Maldives delegation included 32 representatives from 20 co-exhibiting companies.
The country’s tourism products and services were showcased at a 99-square-metre stand designed to reflect the islands’ natural environment. During the three-day event, representatives met with travel professionals and visitors to share information about tourism offerings and developments in the Maldives.
According to Visit Maldives, this year’s focus extended beyond luxury tourism to include segments such as family travel, budget tourism, halal tourism, and nature-based experiences. Sustainability and environmental protection were also key themes featured at the stand.
Maldives High Commissioner to Singapore Mohamed Luveiz visited the stand during the fair. Visit Maldives stated that participation at ITB Asia 2025 was part of ongoing efforts to strengthen cooperation with tour operators and travel partners across Asia and the Pacific.
As of August 2025, the Asia-Pacific region accounted for 39.1 per cent of total tourist arrivals to the Maldives, amounting to 477,623 visitors.
