The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has donated an additional 25,500 Mushaf to the Maldives, further strengthening its support for Islamic education in the country. Minister of Islamic Affairs Dr Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed confirmed that the newly donated copies will be distributed to Islamic institutions and Quran memorisation classes across the country. This latest donation follows the 25,000 Mushaf gifted earlier this year, bringing the total number contributed by Saudi Arabia in 2025 to 50,500.

A special ceremony was held to officially hand over the donation, attended by Saudi Ambassador to the Maldives, Yahya Hassan Al-Qahtani, alongside senior officials.
