The Ministry has reassured the public that the Gedhoruveriya Scheme’s data have been fully digitised through cloud hosting, ensuring that the incident will not compromise the information.

Additionally, the Ministry stated that it is working with the relevant authorities to address safety and security measures related to the fire and further details will be shared with the public.

The fire at the Ministry building has yet to be brought under control, and relevant authorities are on the scene.
