The Maldives Monetary Authority (MMA) has extended the deadline for organisations and institutions interested in participating in this year's Maldives Financial Expo, giving prospective exhibitors additional time to register.

The authority announced that applications to take part in the expo will now be accepted until Saturday.

Scheduled to take place from July 2 to 4 at Hulhumalé Central Park, the Maldives Financial Expo is organised by the MMA to promote financial literacy and provide a platform for the public to engage with financial service providers and learn more about available products and services.

The event also serves as an opportunity for banks, insurance providers and other financial institutions to showcase their services and interact directly with customers under one roof.

MMA has previously held the Financial Expo in 2015 and 2017, both of which attracted strong public interest. The authority said participating institutions are expected to introduce a range of new services and initiatives during this year's exhibition.
