The World Travel Awards Asia, Oceania & Indian Ocean 2026 is expected to bring together tourism stakeholders and industry professionals from across Asia, the Pacific, Australasia and the Indian Ocean, providing the Maldives with an opportunity to showcase its tourism offerings on an international stage.

Under the partnership, Event Maldives will assist with the planning and execution of the awards ceremony, while Print Lab will provide branding and printing services required for the event.

Commenting on the collaboration, Visit Maldives Corporation Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director Ibrahim Shiuree said hosting the World Travel Awards reflects the Maldives' standing as a globally recognised tourism destination.

He noted that the successful delivery of an event of this scale depends on strong partnerships and welcomed Event Maldives and Print Lab as official partners, expressing confidence that their expertise would contribute to delivering a world-class experience for attendees.

VMC said hosting the awards in the Maldives will help enhance the destination's visibility among key tourism stakeholders and further strengthen its reputation as a leading destination for both travel and international events.
