The Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has opened applications for a Marine Mechanic Apprenticeship under its Hunavaru programme.

MTCC has announced 10 apprenticeship positions based at its Aftersales Workshop. The programme is designed to equip participants with the technical knowledge and hands-on experience required for the maintenance and repair of marine engines.

As part of the apprenticeship, participants will receive practical training within MTCC's Engineering and Service Operations divisions, allowing them to gain workplace experience under the guidance of experienced professionals. Apprentices will also be required to complete the company's C3 Marine Mechanic course.

Applicants must have completed O Level education to be eligible for the programme. Those selected will receive a monthly allowance of MVR 8,000 throughout the apprenticeship.

Applications for the programme will remain open until 22 June 2026.
