Visit Maldives Corporation (VMC) and State broadcaster Public Service Media (PSM) have signed an agreement to expand the content available on Creatoll, a digital marketplace for Maldivian creative content.

The agreement was signed by VMC Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director Ibrahim Shiuree and PSM Managing Director Ahmed Shakeeb.

Under the partnership, PSM will contribute selected material from its audiovisual archives, including photographs, documentaries, historical footage, interviews and cultural content. The material will be made available through Creatoll, which aims to connect content creators and rights holders with users seeking Maldivian visual and cultural content.

The two organisations will also collaborate to promote the platform and encourage the documentation and sharing of Maldivian culture, heritage and contemporary life. VMC will continue to manage the platform, including content organisation, licensing and marketplace operations.

Creatoll is scheduled to be officially launched on 29 June during a ceremony at Television Maldives, to be officiated by Minister of Tourism and Civil Aviation Mohamed Ameen.
