Jamiyyath Salaf honours 11 islands for Eid al-Adha celebrations

Jamiyyath Salaf has presented awards to 11 islands and organisations in recognition of their efforts to celebrate Eid al-Adha in accordance with Islamic principles.
The Association noted that 15 applications were received for this year's awards, with recipients selected based on criteria established by the organisation.
The award recipients are Alif Dhaalu Maamigili, Laamu Maavah, Jamiyyath Qalam (Alif Dhaalu Dhangethi), Jamiyyath Risaalaa (Haa Dhaalu Nolhivaram), Al-Bayyinaa (Alif Dhaalu Mahibadhoo), Alif Alif Himandhoo, Raa Kinolhas, Meemu Dhiggaru, Addu City Maradhoo, Addu City Feydhoo and Baa Hithaadhoo.
The awards were presented during a ceremony attended by officials of Jamiyyath Salaf, where former State Minister for the Ministry of Homeland Security and Technology, Mohamed Mahir Easa, handed over certificates to the recipients.
The awards were presented to island councils and community organisations in recognition of their efforts to organise Eid celebrations in line with Islamic values and traditions.
Jamiyyath Salaf said the initiative aims to encourage communities to observe Eid al-Adha within the teachings of Islam while promoting religious values across the country.
This is the second time the association has presented the awards.
