The July edition of the Maaranga Market has opened in Kaafu Maafushi, bringing together local entrepreneurs to showcase Maldivian products, food, handicrafts and souvenirs over three days.

The monthly market is jointly organised by the Business Centre Corporation (BCC), Maafushi Council and Maafushi Local Authority Company Limited. The event began on Wednesday and will run until Friday, welcoming visitors daily from 4:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.

This month's edition features a wider range of products with the participation of new entrepreneurs, providing small businesses with an opportunity to introduce their products to more customers and expand their market reach.

Organisers said the monthly market aims to support local entrepreneurs by creating a regular platform to promote their businesses while encouraging greater public access to locally made products.

Held on one of the Maldives' most popular local tourism islands, the market is expected to attract both residents and visitors, offering local businesses an opportunity to showcase Maldivian products, culture and craftsmanship to a broader audience.
