Maldives Police Service has urged football supporters to celebrate responsibly while watching tonight's match between Argentina and England, reminding the public to respect the rights of others and avoid activities that could disturb public peace.

In a post shared on X, police noted that late-night hours are a time when many people are resting and called on supporters to avoid excessive noise in residential areas and on public roads. They also advised the public not to play loud music, shout excessively or repeatedly sound vehicle horns in ways that may inconvenience others.

Supporters watching the match on screens set up in public areas were also urged not to park motorcycles in ways that obstruct roads or cause difficulties for other road users.

Police further appealed to supporters not to gather in groups or ride motorcycles around the city after the match, warning that such activities could disturb nearby residents and disrupt traffic. They also called on supporters to enjoy the match responsibly while respecting the rights of children, elderly people and residents living nearby.
